Oxford Character Trail
Walk the streets of Oxford, find the hidden markers, and meet the characters who bring the city to life.
- Follow the illustrated map to each stop — any order you like.
- When you arrive, use the hint photo to find the printed marker.
- Point your camera at the marker and watch the character appear.
- Collect them all to unlock the finale.
Before you start
The trail uses your camera to reveal the characters when you scan a marker. Your browser will ask permission the first time it's needed — nothing works without it, so please tap “Allow”.
No location, no accounts, no tracking. The map guides you; the printed markers know where you are.
Everything runs on your phone. No accounts, no cookies, no location, and your camera never leaves your device. The only thing the trail sends out is a count of which markers were found and when, with nothing about you attached.

Offline use
This browser can't store the trail for offline use. It still works while you have signal.
Keep your progress
Your stamps are saved on this phone only. Clearing your browser loses them. Save a link and you can pick the trail up later, or on another phone.
This app stores your trail progress on your device only. No accounts, no cookies. The one thing it sends out is a plain count of which markers were found and how many people finish, so the venue knows the trail was walked. Nothing in it identifies you or your phone.
